INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS -
We believe God loves all people. As followers of Jesus Christ, we welcome persons of every race, nationality, age, gender, social condition, ability, marital status and sexual orientation into the full participation of our congregations. Membership is open to individual who believe in the AWAB principles of inclusion, welcome and affirmation of all people of faith, regardless of sexual orientation. Individual membership is open to all people, including current and former church members, pastors, chaplains, LGBT people, youth, parents and all other individuals who wish to be part of the inclusive association. Members of the Association of Welcoming & Affirming Baptists (AWAB) are churches, organizations, and individuals who are willing to go on record as welcoming and affirming all persons without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity, and who have joined together to advocate for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons within Baptist communities of faith.
